Feely privacy policy
Last updated 9 October 2026
Feely is a small trial among friends. You tap how you feel once a day, and see how your circle feels in total.
What we collect
- From Google sign-in: your name, email address and Google account id. We use these to know which check-ins are yours, and your email to send the nudges described below.
- Your check-ins: the date, the feeling you pick, any sub-feelings, and whether you kept it just for you.
- Exercises: if you do one of the 2-minute exercises, which one, the date, the feeling it was for and, if you say, how you felt afterwards. Anything you type during an exercise is never saved.
- Connections: who you're connected with. You connect by signing up through a friend's personal link, or by tapping Connect when you open one.
Who can see it
- Other people using Feely see only today's totals (for example "3 calm, 2 tired"). They never see your name, email or which feeling was yours. A check-in you mark Just me is left out of the totals entirely.
- Someone who opens your personal link sees your first name, so they know who they're connecting with. Your connections can see when you'd like a check-in, but only the friend who says yes sees it's you.
- The person running Feely can see check-ins and exercises with the email they belong to, in order to run and improve the trial.
- We don't sell or share your information with anyone, and we don't use it for advertising.
Email nudges
If someone in your circle asks for a check-in, you may get an email saying that someone would love one. The email never says who it is: only the first friend who taps "I'll reach out" in Feely sees the name. You'll get at most one of these emails a day, and every email has a link to stop them.
Notifications
If you turn on notifications, we store an address your phone or browser gives us for delivering them. Feely uses it for three things: when someone in your circle would like a check-in, when a friend is reaching out to you, and a reminder at 8 PM if you haven't checked in that day. Notifications never include anyone's name or feelings. They go through Apple's, Google's or your browser's push service. Turn them off any time in Feely or in your phone's settings; signing out also turns them off on that device.
Where it's stored
Data is stored with Supabase, our database provider, and the site is hosted by Vercel. Nudge emails are sent through Gmail.
Deleting your data
Ask the person who invited you, or email the address shown on Google's sign-in screen for Feely, and we'll delete your account and all your check-ins.
